If you are unsure of any of the points on this page or you need further clarification then please contact us 1. Parking The client is solely responsible for parking although we are here to offer help and advice on this matter should you need it. Due to the increase in the number of parking fines that through the use of CCTV we can no longer park illegaly. You can arrange dispensations, visitor permits and the suspension of parking bays through your local borough council. On the day of your removal it is strongly advisable to secure parking before our arrival. if you are on a busy street the best way to do this is to put some wheelie bins in the space. If you fail to arrange parking on the day without seeking advice from us and there are no legal spaces at all then we may have to cancel and/or re arrange your move. 2. Packing Please use quality boxes when packing and try to refrain from the use of bin bags which are really only suitable for clothes etc. We do not recommend the use of bin bags for electrical items such as TV’s and stereos.
The client is fully responsible for the packing and protection of fragile items. There are a large number of clients who do not wrap/pack TV’s at all as well as other fragile items and it is strongly advised that you do so if you are to put it into a moving van. Once items are packed adequately then we are more than happy to take full responsibility for them otherwise it is at the clients own risk, either way we will do our best to protect your goods.
3. Time We will give you an estimated time of arrival and do our very best to reach you at that time as well as inform you when we are on our way. Remember that severe weather or traffic conditions may prevent us from reaching you on time and if this is the case once again we will inform you. For international moves ferries do get cancelled and the tunnel does get closed, in this type of instance we will inform you as soon as possible and work with you to reach a resolution. It is of vital importance that you are ready at the agreed time and your items are fully packed ready to be loaded into the van. In order for your goods to safely reach your destination and to maximise space certain items need to go into the van first, therefore if you are not fully packed we may not be able to begin your move and a waiting charge of £25 per hour may apply until you are ready to proceed. As an example we have arrived at a clients address whereby they would only start to pack upon our arrival. If you feel that you may not be ready in time then please inform us as soon as possible. 4. Items Your quote is heavily based upon the items given. A few extra boxes is no problem, if you have significantly more items than given at the quote stage then please inform us as soon as possible. If you do not inform us, and in the event that you do have significantly more items then we may be unable to take the extra items due to space and/or time limitations and then a re quote may apply with a minimum charge of £25. 5. Access If necessary please arrange all access to property/premises prior to your removal with security/caretakers in relation to keys, access codes and passes etc
